Obedience Titles
Showdog.com offers Obedience trials for dogs to earn their CD, CDX and UD. SD Performance Dogs offers 3 additional Obedience titles - Obedience Master (OM), Obedience Grand Master (OGM) and Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH).
Dogs will compete in the Showdog.com Obedience Trials as they normally do, but points will be calculated according to the AKC Obedience Point schedules provided for each title. Once the title requirements are met, email me with the info on your dog, we'll confirm the requirements and record your title in the SD Performance Dogs database.

Obedience Master/Grand Master
Dogs that have earned their UD title can continue to compete in Utility B to earn OM points for the Obedience Master/Obedience Grand Master title. OM points are awarded to dogs in the Utility B class scoring 190 or more according to the point schedule below.
The Obedience Master (OM) title requires
The Obedience Master titles will be awarded for 9 levels as designated by a numeral following the OM.
(200 OM points = OM, 400 OM points = OM2, 600 OM points = OM3, etc)
When a dog reaches Level 10 (2000 OM Points) the dog achieves the Obedience Grand Master title OGM.
This is a suffix title.
*Requirements differ from AKC requirements due to game play restrictions.
The Obedience Master (OM) title requires
- Dog has achieved UD (Utility Dog) title
- Earned 200 OM points from the Utility B class.*
The Obedience Master titles will be awarded for 9 levels as designated by a numeral following the OM.

If your dog has met the requirements to earn the OM title email me with a link to your dog, your dog's SDPD Registration # and the Trial Dates/point calculations showing points/titles earned. You will need to list the Obedience Trial Dates for each level of the OM title you are applying for, where the dog earned the number of points required for each level. I will confirm the calculations and record the title in the SD Performance Dogs database.

Obedience Trial Champion
Dogs earning their UD can also compete in Utility B to earn Obedience Trial points for their OTCH (Obedience Trial Champion). Not only is this a prestigious Obedience title; it is also part of a number of dual/versatility titles.
The Obedience Trial Championship requires:
Obedience Trial Points are NOT the same as the points calculated by Showdog.com Obedience Trials. Obedience Trial Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place as determined by the number of participating dogs.
The Obedience Trial Championship requires:
- Dog has achieved UD (Utility Dog) title.
- Earned 100 Obedience Trial Points from Utility B
- 3 First Place wins in Utility B (Minimum class entry of 5 dogs including your dog)
(This differs from actual AKC requirements due to game restrictions. One first place win in Utility B, One first place win in Open B and one additional win in either class under three different judges.)

If you have met the requirements for the OTCH title and would like us to add it to your dogs record send me a note with a link to your dog, your dog's SDPD Registration Number, and the Obedience Trial Dates with placement/points meeting the requirements for the title. I will confirm the qualifications are met and record the title in our records.

The OTCH is part of the following combination/versatility titles:
- VCCH - Versatile Companion Champion - for dogs that have achieved the OTCH, MACH or PACH and CT titles.
- TC - Triple Champion - for dogs that have achieved Dual Champion (Conformation Champion + Field Trial Champion or Herding Champion) and have also achieved the Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH) or Agility Champion (MACH or PACH) or Tracking Champion (CT)
